My practice emerged out of a series of chance encounters and borrowed access—learning printing from someone I met in a café; restarting a machine left idle at a music venue, and trading skills with an embroidery studio that appeared in the same building.

In 2020 I received public funding to acquire a freehand industrial embroidery machine. Since then I continue to work across processes while working at my day-job at a printer’s. Broadly my interests are the politics of craft, illness, co-operation, machinery and reprography. Moreover my practice is a kind of journal, without fixed edges, shaped by the day-to-day.
